Just today, i oddly noticed that i have this .. hardish pimply thing on the inner lip of my vagina. its not on the actual vagina, but on the hangy down part. anyway. its hard, and theres a bit of a whiteish head on the top, but i didnt try to pop it because im too scared. it only just has a moment of minor irritation when i touched it, and i have no redness, no swelling, and no foul odor. i am NOT sexually active, im 16, and im VERY VERY scared .. i don't know what i should do ! its like, those hard zits you get on your face ... ahh . should i tell my mom, what should i do !?

It is probably an ingrown hair. I get them all the time "down there" and reacted the same way you did. By the time I got into the gyno it was gone and she looked at me like I was crazy. She said it is common to get ingrowns down there. It should go away by itself in a few days, but if you are really still scared, you should tell you mom and go to the gyno anyway. There is no harm in getting the doc's opinion, don't be embarassed or scared, it happens to most women at some point.

Well if its on the INNER labia which is nearest to your vagina, it probably isnt an ingrown hair. It is a pimple...I noticed I had the same thing got sooo scared went to the doctor and thats all it was! I get them every once in a while especially if im taking antibiotics. Pop it! Its needs to be drained.

Actually, I don't think you have a pimple. It sounds like a sebaceous cyst. They're caused by an infected hair follicle.

They can last for several weeks, and can become very painful. The best bet is to soak in a warm sitz bath twice a day. That's where you fill the tub with a few inches of warm water and soak for 15 mintues. The heat will help to open up the pore and hopefully help the infection draw itself out.

Avoid the urge to pop it! It can beome worse or grow larger.

To prevent them, avoid shaving in your pubic area (ingrown hairs) and try using a body wash with antibacterial agents like Dial Body Wash.

This is normal...but to make sure, you may need to see your physician. Could be ingrown hair and the follicle is clogged or the irritation from your thighs rubbing together, etc. If left alone it should either "pop" on it's own or go down. Hope this helps,

You can get pimples anywhere on you body. I get them there occasionally too. Just don't squeeze it, it'll only make it worse, and might leave a scar.
