My friend and I have wanted to make a web page for some time now. The thing is, I have this cool software to actually create video games. I wanna make a web site to feature what I create and I'm not sure how. I pray to god I don't have to type a bunch of lines of code... Someone please help us.

If anybody's wondering, I'm using Multimedia Fusion. Not too many people know about it I don't think. It can only be bought online (I got mine from their actual website). It allows me to create 2D games but it includes Mode 7 capability (look that up if you don't already know what it means).

Try starting a small website on Freewebs. Though they will give you basic easy web page editing features, I recommend using the free software Nvu to create your pages and upload them to Freewebs.

And now about the games. If they are executables, then you will need to allow people to download them, and that is pretty simple. Just create a link on the page and then type in the path where the game is located. Then people will easily be able to play them.

Edit: You are wrong, JoeFoSho. You can easily create a small game with Game Maker, which is the best program to use when it comes to creating games. I seriously doubt you know anything about game design, so shut up and leave him alone. He is not talking about how to create a game anyway.

Because the web site is similar to a book. The web page is part of the book, that's why it's called 'page'. Why 'web'? Because the Internet consists of many, many computers - servers, clients, etc., that are connected together. It's structure is like a spider web. So a site in Internet is collection of pages saved to a web server, which is always connected to internet and everyone has access to it. I can tell by the way you word your question that you are a beginner when it comes to web design. I'm sure the "cool software" that you have does not just let you "make video games", as a video game can not be made with one small piece of software. If you want to easily make a web page, design one in Microsoft FrontPage, and then get a domain and hosting from GoDaddy, 1&1, or any other hosting provider. You won't need much storage or bandwidth. The easiest way would be to use a program like dreamweaver that you can either do the code or design it freehand. The best thing to do id to hire a webdesigner that will work with you

the games are a bit complicated to upload so expect code in your future if you want to do this. and well i sugest geocities to get started and to get serious use 50megs to set up a good website.
