I was not even looking.
My wife knew the instant she met me, I was the person she would marry.
When she was 9 years old, she wrote down EXACTLY the type of man she would marry. When we met, we were both 15, she told her parents that night that she had finally met the man she would marry. At 18, we got married, 1 month out of high school. When we turned 21, she showed me what she wrote at age 9. It described me exactly. Still married after 30 years.

If there was a true answer to this question, divorce would not exist. All that sweetness and romance exits mostly in the beginning of all relationships. You can marry out of love, but that is not enough to hold a marriage. I found out as I got older and wiser that you need to marry a friend because the passion will eventually fade and if there's no communication what will the foundation of your marriage be based on?
But to answer your question, I was attracted to his attentiveness. I loved all the attention I got from him. Incredible, how it all went away when we married. When I asked him why, his response was "I already got you". Well guess what? we're divorcing now.

I was 12--yup and it took me until age 21 to finally let him catch me We raised 3 kids and stayed married for 30 years. Now, I can say that there's not only ONE person for each of us, there are several depending on where in our lives we happen to be. Some relationships are pre-destined to last for a lifetime but some are destined for just a short time so that each of you can learn/teach particular lessons we're then ready to deal with.

My hubby delivered a pizza to us and he asked me for my number; normally, I wouldn't have given it out, but he was so cute!! I was beside myself cuz I couldn't believe a guy this hot wanted my phone number!! Anyway, I definitely knew he was the one. He opened doors for me (car doors too). And if we went to the movies and there happened to be nudity or something, he would actually turn his head and look away. How sweet is that??!!
