Probably less cowbell.... but get some scantily clad dancers. That seems to work for lots of people.

possibly, maybe you should add something else to your songs. how about a facemelting solo or two?

definitely two. and make sure the first one ends with a dive bomb. oh, and the second one has to play the melody of the song while the singer sings it, except harmonize it with 5ths. and make sure to throw in sweeps. lots of sweeps. and maybe you could do one of solos behind your back or like hanging upside down from a harness.
