It has one sex scene, but no nudity. There is a erotic moment in the end, during the big dance off. Your daughter will probably turn her head, because that was what I did when I was 11 years old and watching Center Stage for the first time. Kind of embarrassing for an 11 year old. The dance scenes are amazing!

Hmm. In the "sex" scene, it shows her taking his shirt off and he takes her shirt off and you see her bra. And that's all. Then they wake up in bed together, I think.

There's an erotic bed scene in the ballet performance at the end of the movie, but they obviously have clothes (well, underclothes) on. Your daughter will like it. The dancing's gorgeous. And the girl dumps the loser guy at the end.

There are a few better dance movies that came out recently. I'll try to get back to you with a list.

If your daughter likes ballet, you might consider purchasing a DVD of a real ballet on Amazon. I taught children's ballet for a couple summers and my girls' favorite was ‘The Firebird’ (as danced by The Royal Ballet for BBC’s Opus Arte series). Some musicals with lots of dancing she might like are ‘West Side Story’ and ‘Cats.’

- ‘Dance With Me’ with Vanessa Williams is rated PG and has a kind of cute, cornballish plot.
- ‘The Company’ with Neve Campbell is rated PG and has some gorgeous dance scenes.
- ‘The Red Shoes’ is a movie from the '40s about a ballerina whose company director doesn't want her to marry. It has a kind of gruesome ending where she kills herself by jumping off a balcony.
- ‘Take the Lead’ with Antonio Banderas is quite touching and I believe rated PG.

And a few I haven't yet seen but plan to:
- ‘Mad Hot Ballroom’ is a documentary about kids learning to ballroom dance.
- ‘The Children of Theatre Street - The Story of the Kirov Ballet School’
- ‘Etoiles - Dancers of the Paris Opera Ballet’
- ‘The Dancer’

Yes, I've seen it before, though it has been awhile. But there was a sex scene, but I don't think they show anything more than a backside.but it is obvious they are having sex.

Center Stage should not be watched by your child. Not because of content, but because t is stupid.
