This is a VERY legitimate question. I went through a divorce in Oklahoma. The judge put it in the decree that we were suppose to wait 6 month AFTER the divorce is final to remarry.
I really think it depends on the judge you get over your divorce and the attorneys. Make sure you have the decree, it should tell you there and if it doesn't ask your lawyer.
Not a loaded question at all. Also it may vary state to state.

In California, you divorce papers will tell you the day you are a single person. The next day, you can marry.

Every state is the same.. when you are divorced, You can screw up again the day you get the paper.
