That was before their was such a thing as food stamps. It was given to people who had a limited income. I don't remember if age was a factor, meaning if only the elderly got it. I remember that my Grandmother did, along with a few other items that I can't recall what they were. The cheese came in a 2 pound loaf that was unsliced. It was real American cheese; just like the cheese you get on a cheeseburger. It actually was good.

No silly, it's given to families who don't have a lot of money. Some people make fun of it but it's really not so funny. Can you imagine not having money to buy your family food? It happens every day. In fact I personally had to do this for a long time to support my self and my 2 children. At least there is a place you can turn to when you need to.

No there isn't any shortage Bubbles, its just that the government LOCKS people up these day if people are caught talking about it.

I remember that. My grandparents use to get it. It was so good and it came in a big brick. We use to eat on it forever it seemed like. I have no idea what happened to it but I do remember it.

Dairy products, like beef,are just too expensive, they problably get that fake cheese now.The cows are causing problems.
