They have dismissed the case, but it is without prejudice. Can they possibly sue me again even though the whole case was settled and paid? Is there any way I can make them dismiss the case with prejudice? What protective measures can I do so they will abide by the settlement? Thank you!

Yes, you can be sued again if you default on your settlement payments. No, you can't do anything about it because the case was already dismissed. Actually, you are probably better off as it stands. Just make the payments....

If this account has been paid, and satisfied upon a settlement amount, then please keep any documentation stating that fact, because they could come back after a few yrs from now, I have seen it done too many times..... Diff. companies get ahold of the old accts, and try to open them...... its a big racket!!

Don't forget to claim that money you got out of paying on your taxes. They will turn it into the IRS!
