I have been taken Alesse birth control for almost a year now. And the past couple months of taking it, i've noticed I need to basically wear a tampon EVERY single day of the month for months. and its frusterating me!! Its not actual blood but brownish colored EVERY single day. But on my period, its actual blood for my usual about 6 days long. But why does SOMETHING come out every single day?

serious answers please!
thanks alot!!

Hi, I also take Alesse (but generic).

Usually when you bleed that much on the pill, it means you need a stronger pill. Alesse is a low-dose estrogen pill. You would need another brand that is hi-dose estrogen to stop the bleeding and get you back on track.

Call your Gyn and tell him/her about it and he/she will switch you.

Spotting is common while on the pill, but i think you are having way too much of it. You should talk to your obgyn to maybe switch to a different pill.
