Maybe I'm biased, but if I were moving out this way from Toronto, I would move to Calgary over Edmonton. The weather is far better, you're closer to the mountains, can be in a small mountain town within the hour, more to do here, just a beautiful city with tons of opportunities.

i used to live in Ontario on welfare going no where rather quickly. i purchased a greyhound ticket in 2001 and moved to Edmonton. now I'm making between 80-120 000 per year avg. work here is plentiful and employers are desperate and will pay more if you just ask. if you rent vacancy is quite limited i think its at 0.02% i find most people who live here are from Ontario, NFLD, BC, and SK and are very friendly. thinking of moving here? depends if you want a very high income or not

Do you have a job??? if so stay in Toronto

If you don't, go to Alberta.

If you want to be warm, Go to Vancouver

But rental housing is tough in Alberta and B.C.
