In cold water with other black items, and use a detergent made for dark clothes. If your black jeans fade, and they will in time, you can use Rit dye to renew the deep color again.

Cold water, use Woolite Dark on the gentle cycle. Do NOT dry them in the dryer. Lay them flat to dry, and once they have dried, you can toss them in the dryer to soften them up.

With other dark clothes in cold water. Avoid the dryer if you can--it'll shrink 'em over time.
