Big cities vc. Small towns

Are men and women equal?

What’s the best place to live: U.S. vs. Brazil

I would go with the topics that relate the most to the students. If they feel identified with any of them that will engage them and guarantee their participation. If you have students who are immigrants... Big cities vc. Small towns might be good. If they do not know Brazil that much I would not select that topic. If they are high school students Are men and women equal? should be interesting. all topics offer many aspects where students at all proficiency levels can participate.
