Well that depends on what your interested in. If you wanna slide with a bunch of people at the same time, a huge inner tube is the best way to go, but compared to other ways it is actually pretty slow. If you want to be able to steer on your way down, a GT snowracer is the best. This way you can crash into other people and have battles on the way down. But also this is not the fastest way. For pure speed, a crazy carpet is the clear cut winner. While offering little protection from the hill and very limited steering, you can get the most speed plus you're on your stomach face first right on the ground giving the sensation of even more speed.

Now why this is in the 'amusement park' section baffles me... But anyway, the best thing to slide down an icy hill with would definately be a large heavy block of ice, with a seat hollowed out in the middle, and the middle lined with lamb fur. Like the old Russian ice slides. Whoo!

an inner tube works awesome and they are so much fun. but i do advice you to not slide down icy hills it is VERY dangerous. my brother and i did that once and some how he hit a little bump down the hill and rolled off and smashed his head into the ice. he was bleeding pretty bad. try to just slide down snowy hills for the most safest and enjoyable experience.

Crazy carperts (easier to carry up), wooden tobogans (sleds), and saucers are good too. Inner tubes are fun too but like someone said, you can get bounced off pretty easily on bumps. I have also done the tray from a cafeteria before and that was pretty fun too.

An inner tube is the best.

Next best is a large piece of cardboard.
