My 9 month old daughter drinks 3, 6-8 oz bottles in a day. She also does 3 different baby foods....so for a total of eating 6 times a day.

This depends on how active the baby is and do you feed her jar food, or from the table yet.Our eight mo old has three 8 oz bottles a day Morning noon and bedtime. But she is eating pureed foods and jar food. Some Drs.don't agree with our decision but our Dr. said she is perfectly healthy and strong. We don't feed her peanut butter, honey or eggs though.Every baby is different. Some eat alot and others are so active they don't have time to stop and eat. If your baby is satisfied with how much she eats fine. But if you think she is having too many bottles during the day maybe you should increase her cereal or jar food.Talk to her Doctor. Good Luck

At age 8 months you should be thinking about transitioning your child closer to just 3 meals per day. At that age she should still be having a full bottle first, followed by solids. You may still have up to two more full bottles each day that are not accompanied by solid food.

Each child is different. I am assuming that you are giving solids in addition to formula? At eight months old, most babies need about three 7 ounces bottles in a 24 hour period.

Do you offer your child cereal? If not I would at least recommend rice cereal in the morning and at night. From my experience they usually have at least 3, morning, noon and night. Are you feeding your child any baby food?
