I'm sure he knows you don't have alot of $. So make some heart shaped cookies put little love quotes on them. And a homemade card with a "gift certificate" for a day/night of pampering, naughty massage, and give it to him over his favorite meal. Or if that is too expensive just use things you have at home, and make him a collage with pics of you and him, add dried flowers, cut out hearts, kisses etc.

Honestly, the best gifts I have ever received were not expensive. Rather, they were sweet and showed me feelings.

A good idea is to make him some hand-made gift cards with favors on them. For example, give him five little coupons that say different things on them like: 20 minute massage, 1 kinky action, etc. (be creative)

I received something similar to this a few years back and found it to be sweet. I enjoyed every little coupon more than I would have a $100 whatever. 8) Good luck and have fun.

Buy a chocolate bar and a card from the dollar store.
