Well when you think of things at a broader sense you have to understand something about human beings....We are very adaptable...Humans live in every part of this planet regardless of its environmental conditions -- too hot, no problem, too cold, no problem, etc...Humans are adapting machines..We may be weak physically compared to most animals but what separates us from our other animal kin is our adaptable brain. Its really quite amazing.

That being said, i thikn the Earth will be able to maintian human beings for much longer than anyone thinks..possibly forever. The reason being is because when the problem arises humans will fix it...I know there is the environmental poultuons problem but understand that we wont do anything about it until we see some detrimental affect that directly affects us....so until that day comes noone will care. But when it comes you will see some pretty damn good adapting to fix it. Its just like the oil wells of the world..They are running dry finally....cars are the most abusive to our atmosphere for why it is getting warmer..When the oil runs out the earth heals and we just adapt by using electric cars.

I dont think humans will be living on other planets until it gets overcrowded...Its not overcrowded in the least. We still have Canada which is mostly open land for one example. Additional resources? No problem, we have been genetically altering fruits and animals to mass produce all kinds of stock supply...so humans just keep moving forward. There will be a time when we will eave to colinate other planets..more specifically the moon first and then Mars but that won't happen for at least 1000 years. And when i say collinate i mean in terms of john-and-jane next door going to the planets, not just scientists and astraunauts. And to collinate Mars you need to Terra-form the enviornment which takes at least 1000 years if you start now.

in numerous billion years, the solar will develop right into a pink huge. on the instant, the solar will strengthen in length and engulf the earth. on the instant, the human race would have more suitable the technologies to shuttle to a unique image voltaic equipment. At that element, the human race must have more suitable a existence-type which will be secure on a sparkling planet. contained in the couple of minutes period, even if Al Gore is ideal, the human race heavily isn't exterminated, it will be decreased to a miles smaller team, who would have a 2d probability. The human race has confronted extinction earlier, about 70,000 years in the past something surpassed off that decreased our inhabitants to about 2,000 persons and we survived. Earth has confronted numerous extinctions and hasn't ever lost the skill to keep up a kind of existence and that i doubt it ever will. to be sure that us to exist on yet another planet, we are able to both ought to stay in a self contained habitat, or shuttle to a unique image voltaic equipment because none of the different planets in our image voltaic equipment can help existence and can want to probable be not accessible to regulate. If we stumble on the thanks to shuttle the large distances between image voltaic platforms, then i desire we may have stumble on the thanks to stay a purifier existence.

Hi. At the current population level? Not very long. Less than 1,000 years. Earth is unique in her resources, so the second question is moot.
