I like BuddyL's answer- I'm not much of a fiction reader (more of a text book or factual reader), but the books that I do have, I have read- nothing I put on my bookshelf has not been read. A good way to test someone who likes to do this is to look at the books on their shelf and ask them about any particular book that you may have read yourself or something similar (like a magazine or paper article) to see if what they are displaying truly represents who they are or what they know!

Could also be a librarian, a show-off, or even a hypocrite! For some of those people, looking for the status of a home library, it'd be far cheaper to just get custom-made wallpaper imprinted to look like a wall full of stocked bookshelves!

busy. i collect more books than i have time to read. i have an entire section on my shelves for unread books. it's like having my own personal bookstore.
