You can't communicate if you don't have the ability to speak to other using a common language such as English or Chinese. If you can't communicate with others, how you suppose to work? Even you don't need to speak in your job, you still need to take instruction. In short, languages are for communications, and without communication, you cannot make things done accordingly.
