I have trouble playing chords and not touching other strings. (big fingers, I guess) Do they make guitars with wider necks?

depends on the guitar you are playing know. les pauls for instance have wider and flatter necks than say strats. but part of learning guitar is learning how to play those cords on any guitar cleanly. when you do this you will be there.

Takamine makes a steel string guitar with a wider neck that is not a classical one.

Yes, Classical acoustic guitars have a wider fretboard, and wider string spacing.

It's probably not as much of a neck issue as you think. What you need to do is learn and develop the techniques and habits of muting strings, which involves both hands in combination. Practice and put the time in, eventually you WILL get there.

yes older model fenders have bigger necks also remakes of older models. you can probally look up all the necks they make. srv had a wide neck cause he also had big fingers
