I applyed/interviewed for a coffee franchise at second cup and was told due to my partner who is African canadia I would not be granted the store.If I was to drop my partner then they would reconsider the application.
They said they have 300 franchisees and none are black and there is a reason for this . They ended up giving my location to a white couple.
I do not have the resourses to sue them so now i am out of luck.
I my self am east Indian which I guess is ok but they draw the line on black people.

help!!!!!!!!!!

Contact the Canadian Civil Liberties Association to see if there is the possibility of investigating the case.

Never mind lack of financial resources, contact the NAACP

Yeah right... like I am sure that a company would do that without expecting a MAJOR backlash from the better business bureau, media, etc. Let me guess you worked for them and your hostile towards them for firing you ...am I right??
