All gasoline needs is a heat source, duh. Pure water may not do anything, but tap water may contain enough impurities to cause the device to short out. With the amount of power a monitor or computer uses, it woule explode under the right conditions.

I think any type of liquid would be very harmful while being poured over a computer monitor, if you are wanting to get rid of a computer monitor that bad why not just give it to charity or a school or a place the receyles computer parts?

The resulting lead powder cloud has a 95% chance of causing brain damage and a rip in the time/space continuum. However, that might just be a theory.
