You obviously have iTunes set up on your computer or you wouldn't have been able to download it. So, open iTunes on your computer. Pull down the Edit menu and click Preferences. Click on the Advanced tab. Now click on the Importing tab that shows up below that. Where it says "Import Using:" change the setting to MP3 Encoder. This will set your iTunes software's default to MP3, which is necessary for the next part.
Now, go to Music in the Library cluster (shown on the left sidebar) and select the song(s) that you want to convert to MP3. Pull down the Advanced menu and click Convert Selection to MP3 (if you didn't do the first part, this will probably say AAC instead of MP3 and won't help you). This will create a duplicate file of your original iTunes download in the MP3 format, which you can track down and use on any MP3 player. To find it, open My Documents, then the My Music folder, and then the Itunes folder. Look for a folder named after the artist who recorded the song and click on it. Then look for a folder named after the album and click on it. Then find a file named after the song with the .MP3 file extension, and that should be the file you want.
