Hot water valve needs a new washer. Or replace the whole fixture. Meanwhile, see if there's a shutoff valve. Look in behind the tub near the faucet. It might be in a closet or in a concealed panel at the end of the tub. Worst case scenario..........Turn of your water at the meter, but make sure you shut off the water heater so you don't fry it.

The tap is on or beside the hot water heater. Make sure you turn the right one off. If you turn the cold water intake accidently and then empty the hot water heater, the electricity will ruin the coils if they are dry. Turn the tap where the water comes out of the hot water heater.

Then take off the hot water tap of the tub or call a plumber.

Turn off your main water supply. You'll just have to look for that:) ~And you need to know the location anyway in case of an emergency~ Then replace or fix your tub faucets. It could be as simple as a little washer in there that has gone bad. You'll just have to turn off the main water supply and remove the faucet handle and kinda' see what you have going on in there. Do it during the daytime so you can take it to your hardware store and find a replacement part:)
Good Luck!!

rebuild or replace the faucets depending on your skills the shut off valves should be on the back side of the wall behind a panel if not there down in the basement
keep in mind before rebuilding the there are all different kinds of faucets you have to know which one you have

If there isn't a shtuoff valve in the line, then shut it off at the water tank, and fix it. If it;s hot water, you don't have to shut off water at the meter, just at the hot water tank. duh.
