you can't put a password on the file. go to /and click:
1) start
2) control pannel
3) user acounts
4) change an acount
5) click on your account
6) create pasword
and just create your own password.

The above answers are nice, just so long as your brother doesn't also know the admin password. If so it doesn't matter that you have separate user id. The admin account can override any of the others anyway. Also assuming you are using Microsoft Windows which does have big networking security issues. Some programs allow you to password protect their files individually...

you need to create your own userid on windows and put a password on it if you share a computer with someone else. go to control panel you must have administrator to do it.

that is what different User accounts are for...very easy to protect files when using NTFS
