Can anyone please explain to me what that means.I would like to find the cheapest way possible for internet service.I have a cell and have no need for a home phone line and also would rather not have a cable bill...are there any other options..is that what they mean by wireless?I dont know much about computers,Im looking on e-bay for one so any good advice or information that I need to know before making a purchase would be greatley appreciated and helpful.Thanks!

basically wireless means u can access internet from any DSL sourse, doesnt need to be ur own...say ur neighbor has DSL and a wireless router, all u need now is a wireless card (which is probably wat they mean when they say wireless), and u can access DSL internet for free...isnt that great...btw wireless card that is built in the laptop is ussally weak when it comes to range and speed...u should buy a wireless card from the store

You still need an Internet connection, be it by phone or cable to connect to the wireless router. You then will need a wireless network card for the laptop which will allow you to use the wireless connection in your home. (I'm trying to explain this without getting technical.) Basically you need (A)the laptop (B)an Internet connection (C)a wireless router and (D)a wireless network card.
Go to Walmart.com and in the search, type "Belkin Wireless". This is just an example...there are other brands of course. But the results should give you an idea of the products that you need to look at.

your going to need internet service which will mean either cable or phone connection. Wireless means you can access your connection through a wireless router, however you still need some form of connection initially. You could probably use blue tooth and your cell phone, but I believe this would be much more expensive then a decent dsl service.
