As a 40 something mother of a teenager who also attends college with many late teens and twentysomethings - I think it is a horrible and tragic waste of time - a drug for the uninformed and ignorant masses to keep them down - think about it - you could spend all those hours and hours of time studying or doing almost anything else in the real world to do yourself some good and get yourself ahead - myspace will suck up hours of your life and basically get you nowhere - and what it promotes seems to be all about selfishness and matierialism and greed - an American tragedy of the 21st century of epic proportions... So sad!

It's nice to reuinte with old friends and an easy way of emailing people, and finding things out about your fav bands.. But that's it. Some people take it way to seriously. They actually get offended if they're not in your top 8/12/whatever status. That bugs me.

It's a good place to catch up on people's business & find people you haven't seen in years. but It gets extremely addicting for some. It's a good way if you want an internet based social life.

I think its purposeless, just based on my conjecture, because you add people you dont even know to your list and you just do it for popularity. It may a social networking site, but in my life it has caused a lot of drama from someone posting up crap about another person that they dont like and that starts into a fight.

i am 35 and love myspace. It gives me an oppurtunity to express myself, and i also talked to a guy that i went to high school with. It's fun, but i think as a parent, i really have to watch my kids and what they do on myspace. I worrry they might meet up with bad people, so i monitor what they do.

i dont like it even though a lot of people are completly addicted to it. i think it puts people out in the open for molestors and stalker because you put down a lot of personal information. its just a fad and in a couple of years no one will even remember the once famous "myspace"

I've found people I love, have missed, prayed for, thought of for years on MySpace, and re-connected with them shortly after I signed up on MySpace. I thank God such opportunities exist to do so.

I don't like the fact that it's not really customizable as far as who sees what in your profile and who can contact you. I'm a fan of facebook because the groups are easier to navigate and I love to post lots of pictures.

I have an account there but only check in when the site tells me I have a message. Too many kids (I'm 42) and too many bells and whistles for my taste...it's quite popular, but I never really got interested in it.

well i feel it is a waste of time to most because they feel they can be someone they aint to people and mislead people into thinking they are someone that they really arnt but for the most part its not what you think of myspace but of what or how u think of the people using it.
