I've liked all of the Star Trek series; The Next Generation being my favorite. I agree that using Enterprise as a prequel wasn't the best direction to take. And although he was excellent in the role of Capt. Archer I think Scott Bakula was too recently well-known as another "sci-fi" character (in Quantum Leap) and might not have been the best choice for the centerpiece of the series--he was "Sam" to me for quite a while; I kinda half-expected Dean Stockwell's "Al" to show up now and then.

Hard to say which series I like best. maybe Deep Space 9 or maybe Voyager. They seem to get better as they go, but I'm not sure the recent prequel series was the best direction to travel.
