I recommend applying to more than one school as a senior. It is an idea now getting in touch with the track coach from each school for recruitment purposes and registering for the NCAA database. You never know which coaches will express an interest or not, so I recommend sending the athlete information to them all. However, athletic scholarships are awarded to division one and 2 schools. Good luck!

Columbia University is probably your best choice as far as having excellent professors, but there is a large student body and it is easy to lose track of the closeness you would feel in a smaller school. You can really become close to your classmates if the college has a smaller enrollment. You might want to check out Kenyon College located in Gambier, OH. That is very upscale, private college with national and world reknowned professors in many areas of discipline. Plus, they have a good track team, so your chances of a full ride scholarship are quite high with this college.

Colgate, Bucknell and Lehigh are the best options in my opinion cause they offer great opportunities of scholarship.
