Ok, when does eyeliner & mascara expire?
And do they harm your eyes? because some people have said they don't & I wash my eyes (before sleep) carefully to make sure I have no eyeliner & mascara left.

eyeliner and mascara doesn't jarm your eyes. Who told you that?
if you don't get it all off at night it can thin your eyelashes if you do it to much though.
As for when it expires, look on the tube.

Eyeliner - pencil can be used for about a year. Liquid is good for at least six months to a year.
Mascara - replace every six months.
If any product smells weird or you notice a change in the consistency, toss it out immediately.
No, they do not harm your eyes if used correctly.
Use an eye make up remover if you use eye make up and don't depend on normal cleansers to do the job.

It can't really harm your eyes.... If it gets in them though, it can irritate them. I wear contacts though, so that's the reason it happened to me.
You should alsways wash off your make up because it clogs your pores.
And yes, makeup, if it doesn't expire, should be discarded about ever six months.

dispose of eyeliner and mascara every six months (even if it isnt empty) actually eyeliner can just be sharpened to clean it .. but mascara gets "stale" and can cause infections

no i does not harm your eyes, but its necessary to wash them off before going to bed. expiration always written on each products.

expire about 6 months i think.
its good to wash your makeup off before sleep, cant remember the reason, but it is.
