Very good chance at winning the EAST with a LeBron led attack through the weak east but not very good chance of beating one of the many WEST powerhouses

As some folks have mentioned, more clarity would help.
Cleveland's chances...
* of reaching the playoffs: very, very good. Should be a lock. They might even win the Central div., tho' a difficult task - with it being probably the best division in the East. Other teams in the East that will provide some challenges are Detroit, Chicago, Orlando, Washington and even Indiana.

* of winning it all... : not very good at all. This year has really highlighted the disparity between East & West. Eastern teams have generally struggled this year against their Western counterparts. And Cleveland just don't compare favorably to Phoenix, Dallas, San Antonio, Los Angeles, Utah and even a fully-fit Houston.

If they get to the finals, they'll lose (as is likely for any East team). But it'll be a great step for James.

Cavs aren that good I hate to say it.
But they are only a 5th seed in the East.
They don't have a point guard, They shoot the ball horrible, Lebron james is the only scorer. They don;t have good role players. And their defense sucks

Detroit and Chicago will beat Cleveland as will washington and the miami Heat

Best outcome: Second round of playoffs
Worst outcome : 8th seed and 1 round sweep

They said that last year (East vs West) all the way till Dallas was up. On the way to Miami sweeping the last 4 games.

So don't compare regular season to playoffs. Any good team can win 4 games if they get hot enough.

That said, Phoenix just embarrassed them on the second game of a road trip (So they aren't that tired) and after they were on a 5 game winning streak.

So I'd say odds are no, they will not win it all. maybe if you were given like 10-1 right now I'd take it though :D

ok im not lying the cavs have been my favorite team since last season. they're basiclly a lock for the 1st or 2nd seed in the east unless something goes seriously wrong and they're probably going to get to the conference or actual finals. i dont think we can beat the team in the west that gets to the finals.

it's a good team with James.
They have the best record in the east right now.
becasue of their advantage of being in the east, they could go far in the playoffs, I think they would be facing the Pistons in the Conference final, and loss to them. But they would have a good season.
