no. it should be like college when both teams get a chance to win
most of the time in the pros the team that wins the coin toss wins

It is only unfair when one team does not get to have possession of the ball during the overtime. Sudden death does not work well in football because of the nature of possession. In hockey, it works because the puck changes hands almost constantly, so each team has a reasonable opportunity to score. In football, however, if one team wins the toss they can march down the field, score and win the game even though the other team has not had a reasonable chance to score. When both teams have an opportunity to score (as in the Seahawks-Bears game), the outcome is fair.

Pro overtime sytem is the best. Why would you want it like college? The college OT is boring and does nothing but penalize a defense. The pro is very fair. You lose the toss and you have a bad D you lose. Good football teams are about more than just offense, they need to be balanced...offense, defense and special teams

good question. I think both teams should get a possession until one team outscores the other. So in OT if a team scores a FG and then the other team gets the ball and scores a touchdown in OT then the second team wins. I would like to see this in the pros. If they have to get into 2nd OT then there should go for 2 pt conversions.

I think they should maybe cut the time to 10 mintues and let the teams play the whole 10 minutes and see who wins from their...cause all u need is a feild goal to win..and then c'mon the other team doesnt get a chance to try...so it all goes down to luck during the coin toss

i've never been an advocate for sudden death in overtime. its more fun to give both teams a guaranteed chance to score like in college football

i think it should be like hockey and make a shootout. they should give each team a possesion at the ten and whoever gets the most yards or gets the touchdown wins. just an idea.
