It will survive.

Republicans are survivors. Much like cockroaches after a nuclear holocaust only they don't have as many redeeming qualities.

This comes from a lifelong republican. I do think the party will be here in five years but some things desperately need to change. Many of the republicans I have spoken with who voted democrat in the last election or completely abstained from voting on principal, did it for a completely different reason than most people think. You sure won't here the reason in the media. It was because of unchecked spending.
When congress began giving everybody a blank check and the president refused to veto any spending bill, true conservatives got very upset. Smaller government is better government and they don't have the constitutional right to pull money from everyones pockets to fund ridiculous pork barrel projects. They call it providing for the common good to slip it through but how is handing out cash cards to people who decide they want to live below sea level, the common good?

First off, the Republican Party will exist well beyond 5 years from now if not for anything else but the statutory processes that ensure the existence of the two current parties and also limit the abilities of up start third parties. Secondly, Nixon did not destroy the Republican Party, the party eventually recovered. Carter did not destroy the Democratic Party after his debalce with OPEC and the Iranian hostage crisis. The Party will recover, will it take hits in 2008 most likely, but it will continue on as always especially since there is a current rise in the moderate center of the party. No one president will destroy a party since it is composed of much more than the presidency.

As with the Democrat occasion the Republican occasion replace into hijacked by the renowned flow years in the past. The Tea occasion flow is demographically very on the area of the demographics of the rustic as an entire. beginning with some voters who recognized that our political equipment had replace into corrupt and unresponsive to the voters in spending and taxation, the flow resonated with average liberals, average conservatives and independents. they're valuable because of the fact neither occasion is conscious of the voters. Time will tell if the main events have began to focus on the will of the voters or in the event that they are going to shop on course for their time table. many human beings on the two components of the political aisle have been dissatisfied with the way that the wellbeing care regulation replace into exceeded. Even lots of the proponents of the regulation have been uncomfortable on the techniques used to pass it. that's not purely the Republican occasion, yet the two important events that have abandoned their average base for present day ism and moderates desire their events lower back.

Well i've always considered this administration as a hijacked version of the republican party. They are the opposite of what conservatives really are all about. The worst thing about it is people still blindly support him because he's the president, like that makes you a god or something..

The RP will be around as long as the Dems. There is no other alternative for people who believe in smaller govt, personal responsibility and capitalistic economic policies.
