Do you have an education? That could be one of the reasons why you cannot find another job. If you already have an education maybe you need to go back to school and continue into a field that has more job availabilty. Don't stay at a job for the rest of your life where you are miserable. Go back to school or just keep being persistent when looking for a new job. After you put an application or resume in call a few days later and ask about the status of your application or resume. I would do that until you are granted an interview. Once you get an interview make sure your very well prepared before going. HANG IN THERE you will be fine and things will work out. If we all didn't experience hard time we wouldn't know what good time were and it wouldn't shape us into the people we are today.

It sounds like your job or career isn't a good fit. There are a lot of businesses which don't exactly focus on working for the greater good. In general I would always say stay in the current job unless is is a six day 10 hours a day job in which case you need to leave to be able to focus. If you have a job you are in a stronger negotiating position and can wait for the right opportunity to come along. Try to meet and be interviewed by at least three people at the new job. If they are not giving three interviews and they have more than ten people in the firm then they aren't even trying to select good people. Try visiting the premises of companies you are thinking of joining in the early morning from 8am when people are arriving. Just sit in the car park or outside with a coffee and see what kind of people are there as compared to the other companies you are thinking of. You will quickly get a feel for how different different companies are.

The average American takes 6-9 months to find a job. Keep looking. Take a skills test... go to an employment agency... talk to friends.... network with people you know. Put it out there that you are looking. The only thing you can do right now is grin and bear it and devote your "off" time to looking for something better. Do not let your co-workers rob you of your joy. They are NOT responsible for your happiness... YOU are. And life is WAAAY too short to work with mean, unsympathetic people. You're headed in the right direction... just keep looking!!!

I hated the people I worked with, I hated going to work everyday plus the pay REALLY sucked compared to having to deal with these mutated morons, that's what really made me decide to quit I really could NOT pay my bills and for the miserableness of the place it was not worht it to stay, I have put in resumes and have a good shot a a job that pays some decent $$ now, sitting and being miserable was getting me nothing but more misery, I am glad I left

Quit! The job market is looking very good right now, and there are new opportunities opening up all the time. Perhaps you could get together with some of your workmates and all quit too, it would put the bosses with a big problem.

Keep looking - there's got to be another place for you. Work on your resume and interviewing skills. Network - make sure everyone knows you're looking for another job. In the meantime, try to minimize interpersonal contact with co-workers. Keep to yourself, do your work well, ask for a review of your performance so you can take a copy to interviews.

Just keep looking. Things might be much worse to quit before you have something else lined up. Try to tune them all out just to get thru your day and when you leave at the end of the day don't take those problems home with you, leave them there and just try to find something that makes you happy or is interesting to you.

Don't quit until you have another job lined up. Make sure you give a 2 week notice. You will want references. It is really hard to find jobs right now. So don't quit unless you can afford to.

Don't quit until you find another job. Employers do not like to see periods of unemployment on your application. Just try to look at it like, Well, at least I am getting paid to put up with this. Try not to take their awfulness personally. Find someone away from work that you can vent to until you find a more emotionally healthy working environment. Good luck.

I would tough it out until I found another job. I've hired a lot of people in the last 20 years and its easier to hire someone who already has a job.
