Being a Christian, my belief differs from #4, magichris, but I just had to respond to experss how much fun it was to read his answer and the laughter that came with it!

....ahhh, it sounds wonderfully luxurious and on such a cold night, wallowing around in the warm fluff ummm.....

but it was hard for me to picture a panda because I love Panda Express so when I hear panda, I think of orange chicken which was I was eating right when I read the answer.

Now that I was here, I tried to think of an answer but mostly when I saw this question, I found it intriguing, so I followed it in to seek some entertaining answers. As for an answer myself, I couldn't really think of anything, yet I was captivated by your friend that doesn't believe we've been to the moon and I wondered if she went to school with my daughter.

That day that MAN DID walk on the moon is etched very clearly in my mind. I can remember exactly what I was doing at the age of 15 and had looked up at the moon thinking that there were men up there walking around at that very moment.

Never would I have dreamed or even suspect that thirty-five years later, my 16 year old daughter would come home from school one day and announce she doesn't believe that anyone ever walked on the moon! It literally blew my mind into a zillion pieces and I know I stood there with my mouth open as she went on to describe the newscast they had watched that day in school.

Knowing that it had to be the very same newscast that had mesmerized me and several of my friends as we sat there glued to the television watching our astronauts walk on the moon. Not once did the thought occur to us that we could one day doubt what we were seeing, nor would we even think about questioning the validity of what we were witnessing was anything other than what we knew it to be, the very first men to walk on the earth?!?!

And now 35 years later, I'm suppose to believe that what I had seen was not true and just a hoax?! All because a flag seemed to be moving?

And now, for the first time since my daughter came home from school telling me about this, I'm hearing that someone else might also have that theory? Once again I feel shattered! Men did not walk on the moon?? They faked what we had seen on TV that day? How can this be?

Adding insult to the injury, I'm hearing that even our dinosaurs were just made up by our government? Goodness next we will be hearing that the United States has never been it's own country, but rather a 250 year experiment by Yougoslavia who will claim their ownership in the year 2026!

Okay, enough of all that, as mentioned, the question was intriguing so I stopped in to catch some interesting answers and the 1st one didn't disappoint me. It provided an interesting thought, trying to imagine new colors and made me wonder if the person used to color a lot and enjoyed all the new colors and names that Crayola was always coming out with.

But then other than the fun laughter given by number four, there were very few entertaining answers. What's with all the answers about religion? Can no one get off the soapbox long enough to just have fun? This question wasn't even asked in the category of Religion & Spirituality. As for ex GI Joe, I'm in complete agreement with each point, I would just reword it some and soften it up a little, but as a woman, that's what I should do, right?

The question was what do you NOT believe in that a lot of other people do. How does not believing in God qualify and come any near the examples that were given? You may NOT believe in God, but you are by far not the only one and everyone is well aware of that.

Maybe the question could be extended because it really is an intriguing question, I hate to see it wasted on religious answers and would love to hear more on the line such as the two you mentioned and the colors.

It also surprised me there were only 15 answers but I think it might be linked to the ice storm causing a lot of people to be off line due to lack of electricity and perhaps many others just had a frozen brain.

So if you're willing, how about extending the question to see if you can pull out fun, thought provoking, and captivating answers?

1. That JFK was killed by a lone gunman.

2. I don't believe in the notion that all American Liberals are innately evil; only misguided.

3. I do not believe that men and women are exactly equal; physiologically, emotionally or even spiritually. IF you believe in evolution, you have to see that there are differences between the two. Not that one is better; just different.

4. I DO believe that men are being emasculated in the country, and that we (men) need to take back and embrace our masculinity, and all that means. For example, have the courage to be a father and a good husband. Acknowledge the fact that we, too, have emotions, but we must be the stronger of the two genders emotionally.

5. And, finally, I believe that the so-called "womens' movement" has done more to harm women, society and the family unit than any good that could have possibly come from it. (Ties in with #4, above.)

The american dream.

There seems to be two parts of it; one is the 2.2 kids, the house in the burbs, two cars and vacations in disneyworld.

The other contradictory one is getting rich, famous (esp. famous), you can be anything you want, everyone can be a winner if they try, etc. etc.

The first is a nice but homogenized and boring version of life.
The second is impossible and unsustainable, crap. But people love the rags to riches tales.

Oh yeah, men never did go to the moon. Ask O.J. Simpson (he starred in the movie Capricorn One people!)

Peace

Your assumption is way from stupid. that is both observant and smart. Is the reason of what you describe because higher Self/Spirit can come via at the same time as answering a question? And as higher Self/Spirit is known with all, and also is known with what's interior the information of the Questioner, the answer will be precisely what the Questioner needs to take heed to, as if sensing into his or her ideas. it truly is Oneness transforming into observable to us after we hit upon the kind of aspect happening ..... as you've finished ... Most people think aliens are fictional and that it is a ridiculous notion. I on the other hand, think that it is highly probable that there is another galaxy beyond what we know that has a planet that has evolved earlier than ours, and that they have the capability of traveling into our galaxy. We can travel to space and have landed on other planets. In 500 years could we be traveling to other galaxies? I think so. So why is it so difficult to believe that it's already happening somewhere else?

God, although technically a whole bunch of people feel the same way I just don't know too many. Oh and evolution because it seems like its becoming a trend to not believe in it.

I don't believe that you can confess your sins to a priest and be forgiven. I think you have to ask for forgiveness from the Lord himself.

That we are smarter than our ancestors. I don't know if anyone would say that, but I think many people believe it.
