Technically you are right, it isn't exactly illegal, I mean not like buying football tickets for the big game and selling them for twice the price!
SOme states call it goudging. However Makers of these items intentionally do not release many before the start of a season forjust this reason. (It doesn't matter to them how many people get robbed or shot) They want to make the papers for headlines, free advertisements, that way everyone needs to see what the big fuss is all about. Since it was so hot, it must be good.
Personally I think the manufacturers should be held accountable. It is immoral to by these items for $300 and try to sell them for $1000. However, it is also called enterprise, not scalping. No different than finding a fan in your neighbors garbage, taking it cleaning it up and selling it for $10 at a yard sale. Not much you can do about that.
Good Question though.

I wouldn`t worry about reselling PS3s Nintendo Wii until a law is passed against reselling them. Scalping concert tickets is another matter however, and you can be arrested for doing that. I do not think that it is immoral because you are not forcing anyone to buy anything from you. If they are willing to pay the price you are asking, that is on them.

It is your right to resell anything you own, if people are willing to pay your for it then I don't see a problem. Every time you go into a store you are buying from a middleman and not the direct manufacturer. It's called capitalism and like everything else in this world it's not perfect.

No, it's not immoral. You have the extra time to wait in line and buy the product and someone else has the money to pay over retail for it. You both win.

Why do you think so? I don't think its immoral at all. What about the people you bought them from? Maybe they bought it and then decided to resell.
And since that they are hard to find and people are going crazy to lay their hands on these items, why not resell them if you really don't want them?

i'd advise asking this question back in the video games and equipment- everyday so as that both ps3 and nintendo professionals delivers there reviews. you requested this in the wii section so your going to get a lot of solutions saying that wii is more suitable constructive and vise versa. i am going to help you out and provide you with an straightforward opinion. I truly have a wii and that i have spent very a lot of time on a ps3. i quickly will be getting a ps3. i'd ought to signify the ps3. first of each of the wii does no longer make you lively, i play all my video games sitting in a chair, even wii events. 2d of all, the video games that are meant to play with pals are not that good, except mario kart and ssbb. yet who reported the ps3 wasn't for pals? did you ever listen of on line? and your associates can play first human being shooters excellent beside you. has all and sundry heard of rockband, guitar hero, and so on.? are not those all social gathering video games? are not they on the ps3 to boot? so ya. I truly have a wii, there's a reason i'm getting a ps3. the wii has a hand finished of significant video games, magnificent ones. yet once you play them you wont favor to replay them. nintendo wii has no on line community even as ps3 does and its loose. wii's crappy on line is loose by using the way. it relies upon on the gamer you're. are you hardcore or informal. because the wii is unfortuanetely more suitable concentrated on the informal crowd. i'd advise searching into both structures video games and figuring out which one you want. wii: brawl, mario kart, zelda, okami, metroid, and a lot less heroes. ps3: MGS 4, GTA 4, DMC 4, resistance, heavenly sword, and so on. i'm to lazy to write down. for a way ahead for both structures. i'd favor to assert that wii has some large video games coming its way notwithstanding it fairly would not. except for mad international, destiny zelda and the conduit there are none. even as ps3 has notorious, very last fantasy XIII, resistance 2, fall out 3, little huge planet, and so on. wish this helped. oh and by using the way, ps3 has a lot more suitable to provide to boot video games even as wii is largely only for video games. and ps3 does no longer suck, that is only nintendo fanboys and xbox fanboys bashing on the ps3. this damn information superhighway conflict has to quit. people favor to quit being so infantile and improve up. there all large structures which have there strengths and weaknesses.

No. If increased demand means the item is now worth more than you paid, why shouldn't you be able to get the market price for it? We're not talking about life sustaining food, water - these are luxury items. People choose to buy them at whatever price they agree to pay.

If you buy a PS3 for 600$USD an resell it for lets say 800$ I don't think so. But if you sell it to for about 2,000$USD then it is. In my opinion of course.

How is that immorral. Everything in this world is bought in one place and sold in another, and then sold to another place, who will then sell it to another. It's not like most items are direct to stores! Plus, people do it with antiques, why not do it with new items. If somebody is willing to pay you tons of money for something...take it. there's no sin in selling something to somebody who wants it. Though I don't quite understand why some idiots will pay thousands of dollars for something, when they could have just reserved a copy...that makes no sense...the only sin there is their stupidity!

not immoral at all. just as long as you don't over price them and sell them at a reasonable rate...don't rip someone off with a made up price just because its hard to find--that would be immoral.
