Hi everybody, my daughter and I are watching Forrest Gump and we're at the part where Forrest and Captain Dan are in the hospital. Some guys come in and lift Captain Dan out of bed. You see his stumps and how they're bandaged. It looks so real but I know it's just good trick photography. Does anybody know how they made this seem so real looking? Thanks for your answers!

He always had legs... So they had to of either duct tape his legs in the movie, or it was all "Special Effects" to make him look like he was without them.. Either or!! Good Movie , hoh?!! I love anything Tom Hanks does!!! Smile!!!!

Yes, they had his legs wrapped in green bandages, the same color that they use to make things invisible.
