This 34 y/o man is still an infant! No, it's not either normal or right. The 16 y/o may feel she's so important because he tells her about his marriage, but she's got to make him see that she's too young to hear his stories. He should take it to a male friend or a counselor, but ix-nay on the 16 y/o as a sounding board. He sounds pretty lecherous and anyone watching/knowing about this should be very leary (sp?) indeed. Where do these conversations take place? He should be talking with his wife.

No and I think it is very inappropriate. Don't talk to a 16 year old about your marriage problems they shouldn't even be thinking about stuff like that right now.

Big red flags go up when I read this. It is not proper. One possible dynamic is that the 16 yo MAY feel sorry for him and start adopting a caretaking role. Not healthy behavior.

Tell this 34 yo. guy to knock it off.

Oh hell no have some common sense please! Do you have any children? If so then think what you would feel if some grown man was confiding adult matters to your child. Are you looking for some female to stroke your injured ego? Then please look to some adult or, better yet, some professional that could help you. Please, please don't go there with a mere child, which is what a sixteen year old is, no matter what it may seem at the time.

Why would he want to confide in a young girl who has not expierenced married life and probably has not even had a boyfriend yet. Yes I think it is wrong he should be confiding to his wife not a young girl. Sounds fishy to me.

nope--and I would beware of this as a possible confident that elads to sexual relationship too. It just sounds odd to me. Normally this type of friend, would be the one who he could/would have a potential affair with, so itlit up warnign signals for me too.

No it is not normal. But hey, My ex told my nephew she was leaving me. I told no one. So it's not only men, women do that same stupid crap. But just to be on the safe side, dont let this man be alone with the neice.
