I was supposed to wear glasses since i was nine years old. I never wore then like i should have of course. When i turned 20 i wore contacts and hated the whole process of taking car of them and had to go to the hospital one day because i destroyed my eyes due to the mistreatment of the contacts. Since about three years ago i have found that i love my glasses. I can't wear my glasses the like i want because i have destroyed my vision w/ the contacts and i get headaches now due to wearing them too long. There is a lot of styles that compliment everyone you just have to find the right ones for you. I think personally they add character to women and a more sophisticated look. I have a couple of pairs that i coordinate w/ outfits. Have fun with it-you go girl!

I know what you mean. Have been wearing both for YEARS!!! First, if you get contacts, keep a spare pair of glasses with you. When a contact rips, which can happen, you have to remove the contact and having only good vision in one eye is not a good thing. Rumor has it that Bausch & Lomb lens solution leads to blindness, so I just use the Opti-Free brand. I wear contacts outside but wear glasses at home. Do reasearch about the pros and cons.

I wear both. I've been wearing glasses since I was 6 or 7 so they just feel natural I just got contacts about a year ago. I still find them odd to wear cause i will push on my face as if there are glasses on when i'm wearing my contacts I find that they are odd but they are soooo nice in the winter as my vision doesn't fog up when i come in doors. But both are ok

I wear glasses. Tried contacts years ago (over 20 years) but they didn't work out. Sinus allergies made it impossible with my eyes watering so much. And I had to wear the semi-hard contacts. Now they have improved a lot and I could wear the soft. But.... after 20 years + I'm so use to the glasses, I don't bother. If I were younger I would give them a try.

I got the laser surgery in January 2006, its been a year and I'm the happiest person in the whole world, I wore glasses since 5th grade and contacts since high school, I'm 25 and really hope more than 30 years go by before I have to go back to those.
Hope you can learn to love them, a good thing about glasses is that you can work different looks with them.
Good Luck!!!!

I felt like that when I first got my glasses. It was uncomfortable for me so I got contacts. After a while, I got tired of the hassle with contacts, and switched back to glasses. I only need to wear them when looking at things far away and at night time.

I started wearing glasses when I was 26 (only 5yrs ago). At first they were just for reading, TV watching and driving, but my eyes got so used to them that I started wearing them all the time. I've tried contacts numerous times, but my eyes just don't like 'em. I hated wearing glasses for a long time (I always thought I looked like such a dufus with them) but I have to admit that I finally found a pair of glasses that look decent on me and it's not so bad anymore.
Don't worry, you'll get used to yours too. Try to find a trendy pair of frames and you'll feel much better.

I've been wearing glasses for around 35 years and every year or two i get a new pair. Each pair is like starting over again. I usually have to take them back for adjustments 2 or 3 times before they are comfortable enough to wear. It takes a couple times but after you're used to them it's no big deal.
