Maybe they went into rehab and got the cure, and now that they are off the stuff they think a little better?
Actually isn't wise to take a little time to weigh the reprecussions before we escalate this to another Vietnam?
We all need to think why he wants it to escalate? Election time?
If he escalates we may be forced to keep him in there for another 4 years and that will give him and the Bush/Cheney clan to complete their New Vorld Order? Get it? Congress may be forced to Keep him in there and so what they are Democrats it does not matter, that is how the Presidency works? Read about it? Presidential mandates?

I don't know how long you have been in the US... but there is this great document called the Constitution / Bill of Rights that states in the very first amendment that they have the freedom of speech. So, when it comes to their OPINION.... they are permitted to say whatever they want!
As for why they are speaking out against the same political party president? They want to get re-elected, and with all of the biased media out today, numerous people believe that America should not be in Iraq at all!
Bottom line - they are trying to save their own seat in congress!

Unfortunately, the primary concern of most politicians is to get reelected. Tenured senators and congressmen, whether Republican or Democrat, tend to change their views based upon poll results or they try to make the poll results agree with their stands on the issues.
