Usually people making slightly more than the minimum also get a pay raise although it is not required by law. Employers will raise wages above minimum to make their jobs more desirable than minimum wage jobs to keep their employees.

That's up to ur employer but the new law only affects those who make less than 7.25 hour.. The 7.25 hour won't kick in for 2 years.. It's go to 6 something first.

Maybe or maybe not is my answer. The reason is that you are not making minimum wage now, prior to the minimum wage going up. Your employer may tell you that he is going to increase your wage, but thats the maybe, maybe not part.
