Are you certain the pain is abdominal or pelvic? The pelvic area is midline below the navel hip to hip. At any rate you really need to get an xray or ultrasound immediately so that the positioning of the IUD can be checked. If you can't get a doctor's appointment right away try the urgent care in your town.

I would call your local ER (non-emergency number) and ask them if they think you need to be seen and treated you may have an infection or are allergic to the type of material the IUD is made from and are have an allergic type reaction

there is nothing on the left side beside the ovaries
