Turbo Chargers are for Lower compression engines.
You can set them up easy buy just changing the cam. But you might have to change timing also...
Greddy and a few others will get you adjustable HorsePower and depending on the engine you can add 100 to 300 HorsePower Watch your boost. And if you can get it on a dyno thats were you adjust it. For the SYSTEM for a Factory SetUp...
If you ReThink the whole motor set up you can get more HP.
Comes down to how YOU set it up...
You can go from 100 to 1800 HorsePower.

For one this is a very vague question. Secondly its not just the price of the turbocharger that determines how much power it makes, there are many many factors.
Rather than type some long answer (I really am not starting with very much info here) I'll give you a simple rule of thumb:
Atmospheric pressure is 14.7psi (from a pressure standpoint 14.7psi= 1bar) at sea level. An engine that makes 300hp naturally aspirated (ie on its own, no forced induction) makes 300hp at sea level. In a perfect world, all things being equal, if you install a turbocharger that pushes 1 bar of boost into the engine (that is 14.7psi OVER atmospheric pressure) the output of the engine should double. It would now make 600hp.
That is a very very simplified notion, and excludes many many factors. For example, boost is measured at the manifold, not as it leaves the compressor so you can't just walk into some Fast and Furious shop and be like "Gimme a turbo that puts out 1 bar." Having a properly setup turbocharged engine is a combination of a proper engine building, proper turbo selection, and proper tuning.
Anyone who tells you otherwise has watched too many movies.

At best (alone) maybe 10-15%.. You can get that by changing out exhaust & exhaust manifolds(which yer gonna have to do anyway with turbo).. more if you change out intake & carbs
Turbos arent all that good on low end.. Superchargers are better for that and not bad on top end either but they are expensive and still require mods to the engine itself (for one you have to lower the compression ratio on something that old they are way to high)
Consider Nitrous Oxide if yer engine can handle it.. its a bot on plate a bottle some lines and a switch or 2.. and about a 200% HP increase...
I dont really know why anyone with a late 60's early 70's "muscle car" would need a HP boost though.. (well unless its a chevy )

It depends. Anyone who gives you a horsepower range probably doesn't know what they are talking about. You can use turbos with high compression engines without any problems, you just need an air to air cooler (charge air cooler) so the intake air won't be too hot and therefore make your exhaust too hot. you can expect about a 50% increase in horsepower. If the car has 100 horsepower before the turbo then you should have about 150 after or if it has 300 before the turbo then when you turbocharge it you should have about 450 horsepower.

if the engine is a high compression engine you would more then likely just kill it with a turbo. the true muscle cars ran higher compression then the cheap pump gas of today will allow and adding a turbo will only make that worse.a turbo charger pushes in more air which is the same as running more compression you can freeze the air but you are still gonna have trouble running a turbo on a high compression engine

If You Get REALLY REALLY Expensive stuff, you could probably get an extra 250 horsepower max. You Could Find REALLY BIG AND HAIRY TURBOS from Turbonectics. [$150-200].If you decide to get a big and hairy turbo, your also going to need to biggest intercooler you can find or else your engine will overheat and your engine is going to get damaged really bad. you can get a really good one from HKS for a little above $1000.00 (one grand not one hundred). You should also get a cold air intake (10-15 horsepower boost + keeps engine cool). Another thing Id recomend getting is a borla universal exhaust to give your 67 Ford Mustang and more beastly sound and it also gives a small Horse Power Boost.
You Might Wanna Get New Tires Too =]

Dont waste your time with a turbo. If you want real power, get a supercharger. It offers all the power all the way through the RPM range, where as turbo has to build up and only offers the most power it can give higher in the RPM range.
