"Tomlinson said he was upset that some Patriots were dancing on the Chargers logo at midfield after they had silenced the record crowd of 68,810 at Qualcomm Stadium and wrecked the Chargers' season, which included an NFL-best 14-2 record and 8-0 home mark in the regular season.
"I would never react in that way. I was very upset," Tomlinson said. "When you go to the middle of our field and start doing the dance Shawne Merriman is known for, that is disrespectful. They showed no class and maybe that comes from the head coach."
Merriman, nicknamed "Lights Out," did a spasmodic dance to celebrate each of his NFL-high 17 sacks.
Yeah, LT said he'd never react that way... that's BS. ALL NFL players react that way. They celebrate big wins. If you don't want the other team celebrating on your field, you have to win the game.
San Diego did all kinds of trash talking, especially for a team that's never won ANYTHING. I mean, look at Merriman... he does a stupid dance when he gets a sack... what is that?
LT's a sore loser.
Hey Chargers, win something, THEN dance.

wow....i'd heard that chargers fans were sore losers, but after reading the most recent posts by some of them, i see that it's a gross understatement. lucky, terrible and un-classy are never words that should be in the same sentence of the Pats. It's the NFL, kids, and this was one of the best games i've seen in a while (although, yes, quite sloppy) because it showed the resilience of a true champion team and a real football battle.
the chargers battled hard, no doubt, but any team that turns the ball over that many times, drops that many passes, and has that stupid of a coach and players who make such bonehead plays (the mystery review and ridiculous head-butt) in such a big game DOES NOT deserve a shot at the Lombardi Trophy. the pats have shown their gritt over the past 5 years, are the only team to stick to their guns when it comes to the quality of people they hire, and frankly deserve to dance on any team's logo, especially when it's one mocking the league's newest juicer LB. Move over Romanowski....Merriman's in town.
