I would get a blue photoflood from the camera store and get about using it. Or,

I would get a film rated to 3200K, incandescent light, and get along doing it. Or,

I would go to the camera store and buy a filter which will compensate the whole thing and get about doing it.

I'm not an electrician, so maybe I can help... I get the impression that you're not really talking about a slave, as such, but just a constant-on light on the tent for table-top photography. If so, I'd probably go with a really tall gooseneck lamp, simply plugged into an outlet. Stand it outside the tent, and adjusted over the top, with the largest bulb it'll take, and you should do fine. You could also tape a sheet of white or colored paper -or a gel filter if you have some- over the bulb housing. Just don't leave it on too long or it'll melt the gel. There's other ways to improvise, if you just use your imagination. Or, some of the old Popular Photography magazines may have ideas for making your own light tent. They may even have some in their online archives.

A slave, as you probably know, would have to be wired to the camera flash connection, and use the right size bulb. That's a bit more specific to photography than do-it-yourself stuff.

I am an electrician and this question is to vague for an electrician to answer unless he is familiar with what a photography light is, and maybe even a photography tent also!
