My husband experienced 2 tragic deaths in his family shortly after we were married. I did all I could to be there for him, I think he had some sort of mental/emotional break down. He moved out, we have been in contact the entire time and now he want to get back together. I understood why he did what he did, but am unsure. I love him with all my heart and I know he loves me. I want to be with him but am afraid to try again, but am afraid not to try as well.

You know this has got to be a first! I'm actually going to advice, get back together. There wasn't an incident of cheating involved. There was traumatic circumstances, and both seem to want reconciliation. The problem you are going to have is what the reason for the break up is going to be. You are not going to need to place blame, but you will need to examine and both agree on what went wrong. Otherwise, why get back together if you are unsure if it will happen again, with the same exact reasoning for the first breakup. If it is what you suspect, a traumatic experience resulting in a negative mental or emotional response, then he will need to at least agree to pursue this reasoning. Good luck! I really think you two are going to come out of this with a stronger and long lasting relationship!

I am back with my Ex-husband from a three year separation. He is an alcoholic (recovering alcoholic). I love him, and feel that if I didn't give him this second chance, I'd wonder forever whether I should have or not. We haven't remarried, that will come much further down the road, but we are happier than we've been in a very long time. We laugh a lot, never use to do that. If you're unsure, just take your time. Hopefully he is in counseling learning to deal with his losses. If he's not, you should request that he does find counseling. Go slow, and think of yourself too, don't do anything you're not ready to do. Good luck to you.

YES l would and l did, so l know where you are comlng from. My husband and l separated briefly for different reasons than yours of course. We have now been back together for about 10 mths and couldn't be happier. If you both honestly love each other, you must give it a try. You will always wonder about it otherwise. Love and understanding are two very important things in a relationship, you seem to have both of those. Give it a go, l'm sure you'll be glad you did. Best of luck to you both.

Been there. Done that. If you do not get back together, or at least try, will you always wonder what might've happened? Will you miss him or regret the marriage ending? If so, give it another shot. Seek help with a couples counselor if you can.

My husband and I moved back in together, saw a counselor just a few times and everything is fine now. Four years later, we have a toddler and another baby on the way. Thank the gods for second chances. Good luck to you.

I guess you really have to answer this one yourself. Have you prayed about it? God really does answer. Have you thought about how you felt without him for 3 months? Maybe you should spend some quite time reflecting on how you feel with him and how you feel without him. I always make a pro and con list when I have difficult decisions to make. Write down all the reasons you should get back with him and all the reasons you shouldn't. Sometimes just getting it on paper gives you a different angle to look at. Honestly, the way God intended it is for you to stay together, although that is not always possible. Try finding a Christian counselor in your area. They do the same thing that any marriage counselor does, they just have a better insight to God's plan. Good Luck!

No one can answer that question for you. Only you and God know the whole situation and it would be foolish to responmd to your answer with the limited information you have offered us. However, I must say that a mere three months of seperation may not accomplish much. Your wounds are still new and tender. You are more likely to think with your head and not the heart. I think you should give it more time to think things through. Consider what your relationship lacks and go from there. Also make sure that when you guys get back together that he demonstrates a sincere dedication to starting out fresh.

Two deaths is a heavy burden and certainly brought inordinate stressors into your family. As your husband where and how he is with the grieving process. Would he be willing to visit a trusted clergy person with you? I do think that you should begin again with some support. The deaths were an unforeseen tragedy that would have taxed even a long-term marriage.

Yes i feel you should go back even if it is for a trial basis.... You also should go to counseling together. He obviously loves you very much if he wants to work it out again... This is great news and I am happy for you and your husband and I wish you both the best. Do not let fear keep you away from him. This marriage is definitley worth trying to save and working on.

Want to know how to get your ex back? Change yourself. Don't worry about changing other people, worry about changing yourself. Go to https://tr.im/t3P0k

Once you do that then you can start to worry about getting back together with your ex, other wise you will find that you are fighting about all the same things and getting no where. Do what it takes and I promise things will work out in your favor.

The funny thing is I came to the realization that I had to change a little too late. After I was kicked out and after I was about to lose the only things that truly mattered to me - her love. A funny thing happens when we truly love someone and lose them. We do what ever it takes to get them back. For me I had to drop bad habits that had caused not only our relationship to sour but practically every other relationship I had had in the past. Not only with women, but with friends, co-workers, family, you name it.

Which is why I say to you as my ex at the time said to me, the only thing you can do is change yourself. Work on yourself and improve on the person that you already are. Drop the negative things in your life that don't belong there and you will see all of your relationships start to take off to new heights.

Since you still love him why don't you go see a counselor and see if you can work things out. Sometimes people pull away when something tragic happens becasue they don't know any other way to handle it. I think it is worth giving it another try-Good luck hope it works out for you.
