Whoa! Alcohol and drugs never even dawned on me, this is definately not for that. I have just had problems with acne, oily hair, blotchy skin, etc lately and some internal upsets and was just looking to kind of clean out my system I guess. I feel like I've eaten to much junk lately and just feel like its made me sick.

the average person should not need to detox, if you're having problems with oily skin and hair, it won't help you, it's an internal thing.

drink lots of water, eat your greens and use gentle cleansers on hair and skin are the best options to solve this problem.

There are different types of flora blends, liver detox's and colon cleanses you can get at places like GNC and Vitamin World or vitamin catalogs like Puritity.
some of the ingredients in these should consist of
Milk thistle (active ingredient: silymarin)
Red clover
Fennel seed
Dandelion root
Fenugreek seed

You can do parasite cleanses and heavy metal detoxes as well.

Apple cider vinegar and lemon juice are good for cleansing your digestive system. They also have food grade peroxide.
I am not sure how often or how much you should take.

The only detoxing that is safe is from alcohol or drugs, and you may need help with that, as suddenly stopping either one can cause problems. If you're talking about detoxing from food, don't believe everything you read. The science of nutrition undergoes a revolution every 5 years.
However, if you're really concerned about pesticides and such, you can detoxify your liver by switching to an organic diet. You don't need to fast; fasting is drastic and the body doesn't like it. Drink plenty of clean water or green tea and do things naturally.

I've heard that the Cabbage Soup Diet detoxes your system, but I don't know if it's true. It does flush you out though!
