I have twins. One drinks plenty - about four 8-9 ounce bottles a day. But my other will only take two full bottles. It is a fight to get her to drink during the day. Some days she may only get 18-20 ounces.

As long as she is not showing signs of dehydration she is fine. My son's pediatrician and a pediatric nutritionist told me no more than 4 oz of diluted fruit juice a day.

I think she is fine getting 18 to 20 ounces as long as she is not dehydrated and her nutritional needs are being met. At my son's 9 month check up his pediatrician and I laughed because my son was taking about 40 ounces a day while her daughter, who was a month younger, would do well to take 14 a day.

24-32 ounces per day. Have you started her on foods yet like fruit and vegetables?? Try another formula...the one you are using may be too harsh for her stomach. Try alimentum, by similac...see if that makes a difference...is she gassy or cranky?? could be a sign of a milk intolerance, not necessarily an allergy but a sensitivity. good luck!

I am no expert by any means, but as a parent I would ask.., is it breast milk? formula? water? or what?

If breast milk and the baby is not with the program, then switch to formula. If the baby is on formula, ask your pediatrician about switching brands.... if its water the baby is taking then perhaps flavor it with just a little juice.., not too much juice, just enough to flavor the water.

I'm sure the ladies can come up with extra answers (or better answers)- but this is just my suggestion.
