No. The Waltons lived in Virginia. That's a long way from the prairie. In the books, the Little House on the Prairie was in Kansas. In the TV series, they lived in Minnesota, I believe.

No...the Waltons took place in the 1930s and 1940s in the area around Virginia, West Virginia area, the Little House series of books (and the TV series) was based on Laura Ingalls Wilder's life in the 1800s in Kansas, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin and the Dakotas.

I loved the Waltons, especially the first show The Home Coming, it was about Christmas on Walton mountain.. I like Little House too, but not as much..
