When you connect the AC adapter, does the notebook beep or does an icon appear on the taskbar?

You want to make sure that the AC adapter is working properly. If it is than the battery may be faulty.

Your battery is pretty much stuffed and so you would need to go and get a replacement or try to salvage the one you have no by going to a place were they can re-condition the battery but this one seems to be a no go.

Contact the manufacture of your computer and ask them about replacement battery packs for your make and model of the computer and they should be able to help you out :)

If it won't recharge it is probably some bad cells in the battery or the fact that lithium ion batteries lose their effectiveness more and more as time passes.

just take out the battery and let it decharge all the way, then put it back in and let it charge all the way and then u should be good.

this happened to me a while back and my cuzin told me to do this and it worked great.

good luck
