Is there ever a gay person who comes on to any site to proclaim that being straight is just not normal or an abomination according to a book written by man? It's always the straight people who act abnormal & ask such ridiculous childish questions. Maybe before people start calling others "not normal" wouldn't it be smarter not to show your ignorance & just seek help?

Judy I happen to be a straight Christian but it bothers me so much when people of my faith who are no better than anyone else judges gays for no reason. I guarentee if people would get to know gays & lesbians they would realize how friendly & non judgemental the gay majority of people are

Almost all primates that I know of participate in Homosexual sex except for a large percentage of us humans. Being homosexual is part of our primate trates. The only reason we all do not participate on the planet as bisexuals is because of cultural beliefs that have been made up and based on myth by those in charge. Our closest living relative is the bonobo monkey which is shown to be 100% bisexual. There are no straight Bonobo monkeys. Their DNA is the closest to ours of all other animals on the planet. I got this from National Geographic.

I have my opinion...You have your opinion ...and all these people on their have their opinion. Now the question is what is normal? Are Blue eyes more normal than Green eyes...are Green Eyes wrong?
Are ten toes more normal than eleven? Probably but is eleven toes wrong? Is Christianity more normal that Buddhism, Judaism, or Islam? Are anyone of them not normal? Thomas Jefferson owned a slave. Abe Lincoln freed them. Yet we honor both for their contributions. Was Abe more normal than Thomas? Jeffery Donner murdered and ate little boys. Charles Manson just murdered people. Is Charles more normal than Jeffery?
Rosie O'Donnell is a homosexual with a heart of gold and raising a family. Donald Trump is richer than Midas and trades wives like he trades cars...yet he had a heart of gold in giving a beauty queen a second chance. Is Donald more normal than Rosie? Jesus forgave a murderer and a prostitute. Do you think he questioned which one was more normal?

First of all normal does not exist. No one is normal. Second why does someone have to state there sexual preference on line for all to see. I never state mine. Sexual orientation is a private affair and deserves to stay such. If you state anything in public you are opening yourself to attack. Don't pity the people that post. They want the attention. And to All keep sex between you and the person you have sex with. Read all the books you want. Life would be much more pleasant.

I'm straight and could care less if someone is gay. I think it's the ones who feel the need to judge other people's lives, no matter what it contains, that are not normal.

Why are people so concerned about other people, especially strangers they'll never meet?

I've wondered the "what's with this gay being genetic" question myself.

I have come to the conclusion this is abnormal. Animals get aflicted by disease and problems very similar to humans, but I have yet to see a gay cat, dog, goat, or cow. Sure puppies will hunch, but out grow this. Plus gay sex, and that's all it is, cannot propegate the species. Gay is a choice and the animals in the example did not "choose" to do this.
My 2 cents

good question. i like controversial questions.

for gay people, we are entitled to feel, do, say anything we want. who gives straight people the rights to say that we aren't normal? why do they always think they are of a higher level than gays? don't go around, thinking what people might say about us. live the way we feel best to live and make the best of our lives.

for straight people, you guys too are entitled to feel, do , say anything you want. we gays don't have the rights to stop you or tell you that you should be gay. love and have sex according to your preferences, we don't give a **** as long as you don't give a **** about us. if you don't like what we're doing to ourselves and people who loves us, treat the ones who loves you better.

live together in harmony by minding your own business. there's no point of in judging who's normal and who's aren't, rite/ so, LIVE AND LET LIVE....

Sweetie, if someone that is christian dares to say that Homosexuals are abnormal then they are certainly turning away from their god.

God is love, and if god created all creatures, and therefore loves them all he will have also created homosexuals and loves them as his creations, now, if you can't accept that then you have a double argument, because you say "love all people" but don't even respect them.

I think respect is the key to understand, by being emphatic (putting yourselves in someone else's place) you will be able to have really honest and healthy relations.

On a more biologycal point of view, if you think that other animals don't do it, or, if you think that engaging in homosexual activities causes them any harm, I suggest you visit this article in Wikipedia:

Well, the species procreates by straight people. Parts are "designed" or evolved to properly fit in certain places.

Thus I think calling homosexuality "abnormal" is justified.

Does it mean that its "immoral"? Probably not. Not for me to judge anyway. I don't have problem with it.

To be considered normal these days it seems you have to be Republican, believe in God, go to Church, listen to soft rock, drive an SUV, and believe every word the US president says.

So screw being normal and don't give a flying **** what anyone else thinks.

you are very correct. people who hate for no good reason other than someone is "different" are the ones who are abnormal. assuming the role of God and passing judgment on others is abnormal. preaching hatred and intolerance is abnormal. it's this type of abnormal behavior that leads to violence, abuse, terrorism, murder and war. hatred is festering disease that grows and multiplies until it gets out of control and leads to this kind of behavior.
and I'm abnormal because of who I love? please!
